COMMON GOOGLE PHONE PROBLEMS WE’VE FIXED
Network Connectivity Issues
- Cannot connect to the internet
- Mobile network is not detected
A common issues some users may experience is when the device cannot connect to a mobile network. This occurs in two different situations, one being when your operating system confuses your access point network (APN) and disconnects your phone from the mobile network (APNs are the connections made in cellphone towers to allow phones to connect to the phone carrier’s network). The other situation this occurs in is when your operating system turns off your data as if it were in airplane mode.
Solution:Edit the software, Replace network card
Updating- Rebooting Loop
- Phone is constantly in the process of restarting itself
When mobile devices start up they enter different phases of launching to load different operations like the operating system and the hardware. Every so often after updating, phones will enter a phase where the operating system cannot be loaded. This can occur when the update changes something in the software that is also involved in the process of starting up the mobile device. Occasionally the changes made are not understood by the phone and it will keep restarting after a trying to load the operating system.
Solution:Edit the boot process
- Phone hot or warm to the touch
- Phone shut downs while being extremely hot
Every time mobile devices run tasks like apps or other processes, they use part of their memory and CPU. Phones can only handle what processes they have enough power for. Software helps manage what a device can do and sets limits on what can be run and organized. On occasion, the software inside mobile phones don’t manage processes efficiently, which can cause the device to overheat.
Solution:Replace motherboard, Replace battery connections
- Screen is unresponsive to touch
- Screen is dimmed or black
Google nexus phones have a newer type of touchscreen called AMOLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) screens. These screens have two layers, one layer is filled with electricity and the other layer is created using organic materials. Whenever your finger touches a certain place on the screen it emits light which travels into systems that translate the light into a language the system can understand. When you sit on or drop your phone, the screen has the potential to break which can causes cracks to appear that affect your phone’s ability to respond to touch.
Solution:Replace the screen
