COMMON SAGER LAPTOP PROBLEMS WE’VE FIXED
- Screen of death(blue screen/blank screen or computer crashes)
- Freezes when trying to shut down (after 5 minutes)
- Won’t Boot/Reboot
Booting or rebooting is a common problem for users who have Sager laptop’s, and they are faced with unexpected and random shut downs while their device’s were trying to boot or reboot. This could be the reasons for these automatic shutdowns. It could be the the drive malfunctioning, If it’s dead or a corrupted hard drive can cause boot failures because of this boot failure could be a sign of hard drive failure, or a corrupt operating system. It could also be the RAM aging or becoming bad And it could be a faulty GPU/CPU. Solution:replace bad Ram(check before you do and use gloves for your new RAM). I suppose you can start by testing the hardware. (You can also analyze what lead to those blue screens by either using a utility meant to decipher them)
- No Audio or screen not working.
- Some peripherals work others don’t.
- System shuts off randomly.
- No BIOS access.
- Replace capacitor
Motherboard is a big common issues and a problem for users who have Sager laptop’s, They have motherboard dying instantly. The most common problems are bulging capacitors and broken solder connections. This can be caused by age, smoke, dust, pressure and voltage spikes. (try to avoid voltage spikes it can cause a fire in you house). It could be the power spike, since they occur for such a short duration of time they don’t always cause equipment failure, but the potential is there for great damage to sensitive equipment like the motherboard and in many instances they can be catastrophic. Or worse(causes fire to electronics), while equipment may not fail right away when exposed to spikes, semiconductor devices can be “weakened” and may fail later or die. It could also be dust in your motherboard that can cause you’r fan to not work properly which can lead your laptop to overheat and your motherboard to die or die from capacitor leaks. Solutions:Check the cable connections, Reset the CMOS, Update the BIOS, Replace the motherBoard(if it’s bad), Replace capacitors or solder
Fan’s not working
- Cooling fan not working
- Bad capacitor
- Bad overheating
- Random shutdowns
So many people have had experience, overheating with their Sager laptops which can be a sign that the cooling fan is not working or spinning due to heavy dust accumulation that clogs the computer’s cooling fan which cools CPU, GPU and the capacitor(which keep the motherboard running). This sometimes happens when fan is working in condition but fails to operate due to minor motherboard faults like blown capacitors (bad capacitor). These capacitors provide the necessary power to fan to operate. it’s also the capacitor because the capacitor make the cooling fan work. Solutions:Clean fan from dust (if worse replace), Replace capacitor(if capacitor leaked to motherboard, replace motherboard)
- The heat sink clogged or broken
- (Cooling Fan might not work)
Overheating is a common problem and a big issue that people faced with their Sager laptops. This can be caused by a damaged Heat sink Heat sink, which are a components in laptops that are designed to absorb massive amounts of unwanted heat. The heat sink could be clogged by dust or something else. When it is clogged it can’t absorb the extra heat it produce more heat than the heat sink can absorb. It could also be the fans immediately started to run on overdrive Solutions:Clean the heat sink(and check the cooling fan), (if bad) replace the heat sink
