COMMON HP LAPTOP PROBLEMS WE’VE FIXED
Frequent Shut Downs
- Laptop shuts down at random
Some users have reported that their HP laptop shuts down frequently. This occurs for two different reasons, the first being an issue with the operating system. Sometimes when the operating system is sent many different signals at once it will freeze a little bit. When this happens signals keep building up until it cannot deal with them all. The operating system is then overloaded and shuts down the laptop to relieve itself. The second reason this occurs is because of hardware failure. Occasionally the computer’s motherboard will malfunction and not distribute power to certain components inside the device. When this happens the device shuts itself down so it can boot everything again.
Solutions:Replace motherboard, Repair operating system
- Laptop freezes at random at times of use
Some users have reported that their HP laptops freeze often. This occurs for two different reasons, the first being hardware failure. The central processing unit of laptops calculate every task the device needs to perform. However if the CPU is overloaded or is not working properly it cannot calculate tasks at hand which leads to freezing. The second reason this occurs is because of the operating system. Whenever the device starts programs the operating system assists in telling what hardware the program can use. Occasionally the operating system will not let the hardware perform to the extent the program needs which causes freezing to occur.
Solutions:Replace CPU, Repair Operating System
- Laptops charger doesn’t charge it
From there that AC energy is converted in DC power that the device can use and the power is then moved into the laptop. From there it connects to certain connections that go through the battery and into other components. Occasionally The battery connections will be damaged which doesn’t allow that electricity to go into the battery. Which prevents it from being charged like some users have experienced.
Solutions:Repair Battery Connections
Display not Working
- Display is not functioning properly
Images on the laptop are displayed using tiny dots called pixels. These pixels make up the entire screen and change depending on what is being viewed. The devices graphic cards calculates every pixel on the screen which is usually a couple million pixels calculated in an instant. However if the graphics card is damaged or not working properly it can cause the display to not work like some users have experience. This can also occur with a faulty motherboard. Occasionally the motherboard will not distribute enough power to the graphics card which can cause the display to malfunction as well.
Solutions:Replace the graphics card, Replace the motherboard
- when restarting or logging in an error screen will appear
Some users have reported get blue screen restart error. This occurs for two different reasons, the first being driver failures. Drivers are programs that assist the operating system in interaction with hardware inside laptops. Occasionally when they malfunction it prevents the operating system from communicating with most of the devices hardware. Which causes these blue screen errors because the OS doesn’t know what to do so it restarts. The second reason this occurs is because of faulty RAM or a faulty hard drive. If the RAM or hard drive are damaged or malfunction it could prevent the operating system from interacting with other parts of the device which also cause these blue screen errors.
Solutions:Repair drivers, Replace RAM, Replace Hard Drive
