San Diego Christian College was founded in 1970 by Tim LaHaye, co-author of the Left Behind series, Henry Morris, founder of the Institute for Creation Research, and Pastor Art Peters. Their vision was to establish a college that would equip Christians to contribute to society and influence the world for God. San Diego Christian College offers fifteen degree programs with several options for special emphases. There is also an option for an Interdisciplinary degree that is structured to combine two or more program areas. In 1992, the College extended its mission with the addition of an adult degree completion program, aimed to serve working adults. The program currently offers two degree tracks, one in Business Management and one in Human Development.The program design allows a person to balance the complex commitments of work, home, family, school, and leisure time by attending classes one night a week until all program requirements are met. In addition to degree completion we also offer the State approved Teacher Credential Program at SDCC offers an SB 2042 California Preliminary Credential for Multiple Subjects (elementary) or for Single Subject (secondary). This is a quality program that offers small classes, individual attention and dedicated Christian professors. When all prerequisites have been met, the core credential program can be finished in less than a year.
