More Vista And Mac Work

I've been interrupted by many demands from several friends who are continuing to have computer problems. Just when I fixed one problem, a completely different problem pops up! Last night, I helped a friend with a brand new HP Vista Media Center computer... setting up all his software, updating everything. Setting up security programs, antispyware, antiviruses...etc.. etc.
He couldn't get video to work online with his computer, and it turned out to be something really simple... he just needed me to install the latest version of Adobe Flash.... and Boom! It worked! He finally got video from his relatives in Italy. It was of their kids in a play. My friend was happy with that. Still more software to install, videos to transfer from vidcamera, and video to edit, crop and burn to DVD.

With my other friends, they are struggling with an old CRT iMac and having internet problems. I was able to update the important patches and updates to the Apple G3 Ibook they have which works better than it did before.

The iMac is only up to 10.3.9. I suspect that it needs 10.4 and all the needed firmware and updates to get it to work right with Internet connections.

I know 10.4.10 will work on a CRT Imac, as I was able to install the very last OS update for my iMac! The end of the line for OS updates, as  10.5 (Leopard) which is the NEW mac OS will be out in October.

10.5 is only designed to work with the newer macs from the g4s, g5s and the Intel Macs. Leopard will not work on G3 computers...
