Advice & Tips
Keep it cool and clean! The biggest enemy of computer parts is heat, the most common cause of which is dust. In the best case, dust and debris inside a computer will cause the CPU and hard drives to work harder and hotter than necessary. In the worst case, the debris can create unintended electrical connections on your mainboard, resulting in total and immediate failure of the computer. Don't run the risk of ruining your equipment; keep it tidy. We include a complementary dust cleaning with all of our in-store services.
Protect important files. Whether you have hundreds of photo galleries or an enormous iTunes library, we know that your personal data is irreplaceable. That's why it's important to identify the files you use most often (usually in the My Documents folder on your PC) and save them to an off-computer location (such as a flash or external drive) as often as possible. We also offer secureonline storage from San Diego PC Help File Vault so that you can protect your valuable information from unexpected data loss. Get more information here.
