I was asked by a friend to come solve an Internet connection problem with an older G3 iBook. I was able to solve the problem, and made sure that all the right patches and updates were installed on the computer. Took a while, but it was worth it.
At the same time, I carried my ancient CRT G3 Imac to my friend's place and hooked it up to his high speed Internet access at his house. I wanted to download the latest software updates for OS 10.4., (Tiger)
It would have taken me forever to download just ONE file with my very slow dial up Internet connection at my home. One of these days I will get caught up with the 21st century Internet speeds. I just have to wait until there is enough money to pay for the higher costs of cable Internet.
I managed to finally upgrade my obsolete 1999 model CRT iMac with the latest OS update .... 10.4.10!! Yay!! The last official update I can ever have on that ancient computer. It still works good, and it is my main computer at home.
A friend and I went and took a quick trip to the UTC mall to visit the Apple Store. It was amazing to see the new redesigned aluminum iMacs. The most amazing part was the world's thinnest desktop keyboards ever! That is the most impressive part.. these keyboards are made of actual metal aluminum, and you can feel the difference! I never really liked the now obsolete white and clear keyboards. They were hard to keep clean, and not as nice as the earlier keyboards Apple once made...
It is Amazing to see the new products Apple just launched in the last 2 months! The amazingly cool iPhone, the neatest phone I have ever played with. The brand new iPod Touch, which LOOKS just like the iphone, without the phone part....
Apple is definitely on a roll....
